Der Obersalzberg war seit 1923 Adolf Hitlers Feriendomizil. In der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus wurde der Bergrücken oberhalb von Berchtesgaden zum zweiten Regierungssitz des NSDAP-Regimes. Der Film dokumentiert mit historischen Aufnahmen und Zeitzeugen-Interviews die Vertreibung der einheimischen Bevölkerung und die Verwandlung des alten Bergbauerndorfes in das „Führersperrgebiet“ mit großen Bauten wie Hitlers Berghof und dem Kehlsteinhaus. Ehemalige Nachbarn berichten, wie Hitler in den 1920er-Jahre im Haus Wachenfeld lebte und an “Mein Kampf” schrieb. Während sie nach 1933 ihre Häuser verkaufen mussten, genoss Hitler mit Eva Braun das Leben am Obersalzberg, empfing Staatsgäste wie Benito Mussolini und führte von hier aus den Zweiten Weltkrieg. Erst im April 1945 wurde das "Führersperrgebiet” bei einem Luftangriff teilweise zerstört.

Der Ausstellungsfilm des Journalisten und Buchautors Ulrich Chaussy wurde von 1999 bis 2021 in der Dokumentation Obersalzberg gezeigt. Für die Online-Version wurde der Film leicht bearbeitet.

The Israel Defense Forces posted footage of scores of Palestinians walking and riding donkey carts away from the Gaza Strip’s largest city to “ safe zones” to the south between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. local time.

The video captured the residents passing Israeli tanks that have encircled the area ahead of the Jewish state’s expected ground invasion of the densely populated region to try to destroy the terror group Hamas.

Israel said the tanks came under Hamas fire as they helped clear the evacuation route and that the military ended up protecting Palestinian civilians from the terrorists.
